Two Handlers/One Dog Evaluations

Each handler is required to attend a group evaluation and two visit evaluations.
Those handlers ‘sharing a dog’ must each test individually with the dog
.

Group Evaluation

It is recommended that each handler attend and test at a separate session because some dogs get stressed by switching between handlers and/or by the additional time to run through each exercise with each handler.

However, if you feel confident that your dog’s performance will not be affected, you may choose to have both handlers attend and test at one session.

Please be aware that if the group evaluation leader feels the dog is too stressed to perform well under these conditions, you may be asked to have only one handler test at the session.

Junior Handler: The same general policy applies, and testing one handler at a time is recommended, however, the adult handler must be present when the junior handler is being evaluated.

If you choose to test two handlers at the same group evaluation session, please register each handler individually to allow adequate time.

Visit Evaluation

Two handlers may test with one dog at the same visit evaluation as it is a shorter event and easier to switch handlers for this type of evaluation.  Please let the evaluator know when scheduling that there will be two handlers.
